Preparation
Preparation
- Boil fresh water for each of the baby's meals and let it cool to 120°F (50°C) before mixing with formula.
- Pour 2/3 of the required amount of boiled water into a clean, sterilized bottle.
- Use the scoop provided with the formula can, and add the correct number of scoops of powder, which is one scoop per 1 oz/30 ml of water. Note that spoon sizes may vary by brand and even by batch.
- Close the bottle with the nipple and cap and shake vigorously until the powder is fully dissolved.
- Add the remaining water to the bottle and shake it again.
- Let it cool to a drinking temperature of approximately 98°F (37°C) and always test the milk's temperature before feeding to avoid scalding or burning the baby.
To ensure your baby receives proper nutrition, it is important to follow the formula preparation instructions precisely. Always use the provided scoop and do not change the recommended proportions without consulting a doctor. Improper preparation or storage can have negative effects on your baby's health. It's recommended to make fresh formula for each feeding and not to save or reuse leftovers. Heating formula in the microwave is not advised. While there are general guidelines for a baby's formula intake and number of bottles per day, every baby is unique and may have different consumption patterns.
