- Start by boiling fresh drinking water, then allow it to cool to a temperature between 40°-50°C / 104° - 122° F*.
- Proceed by pouring the necessary amount of cooled or slightly warmed water into a cup suitable for babies.
- Lightly fill the measuring spoon with formula, then level off the excess using the blunt edge of a knife. Proceed by adding the specified amount of formula to the cup.
- Lastly, give it a good stir and if required, verify that the temperature is suitable for drinking, roughly 37°C / 98° F.
*To protect the natural lactic acid cultures (lactobacilli), avoid using water that's too hot to prepare the formula.
If using tap water to prepare the formula, let the tap run for a short while until the water that flows out is cool.
Tip: HiPP baby spring water is excellent for preparing baby formula, and it doesn't need boiling.
